Selling a .32 (short) Smith & Wesson Top Break Revolver. It has a pearl handle grip. It does fire. Finish is worn but I suspect it is the original finish from the 1900s.
Smith & Wesson decided it as “perfect card table distance” in their original adverts and I have to agree because after shooting it your not going to hit anything g with any accuracy much further than across a card table. It is, however, a WONDERFUL piece of machinery. The top break is cleaver, the mechanism to open it is wonderfully simple, and the sour ejecting when opened feature is fascinating. Amazing they came up with this at that time!
I picked this up from a local pawn shop on a whim. When I purchased, it did not fire, so they graciously had it repaired. After taking it to the range I had my fun but I realize it’s not practical for me. My aim is bad enough to start with.
Looking to sell to someone that will enjoy this interesting piece of history.
